Saw Table Hardiboard?

Hey guys we are having more chipping on our pieces coming off of the saw lately. We were looking at the plunge depth and (http://maplered.com) it looks like we need to be in the table more. We were talking about trying the hardiboard on the table since we can get it in 4x8 sheets and (http://maplered.com) my table is 8 feet wide. For those of you that are using backer board how are you attaching it and (http://maplered.com) is it easy to get loose when you have to replace it?

I have a concrete table now that we typically grout or remud ocassionally.
